2 injured, 1 critical following early morning shooting in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) —
Three people were sent to the hospital after they were shot in North Fresno, police say.
It happened Friday around 2:15 a.m. on Blackstone from Dakota to Shaw.
According to Fresno police, two women were shot while they were in their car in the area of Blackstone and Dakota. They were taken to the hospital and are believed to be in stable condition.
Police tell us that shortly after the initial call, they received another call stating there was another shooting victim in the area of Blackstone and Shaw.
We're told police found a car in the middle of the road and a man inside the car was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
So far in the investigation, police say there appears to have been some sort of a disturbance on Blackstone south of Dakota.
Police say it appears that a car that was involved was potentially following the cars and shooting at the cars.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
Northbound Blackstone between Ashlan and Griffith is closed while police investigate.
