Kings County Sheriff's Deputies say they caught two men in the act of a burglary on Saturday.

Deputies were investigating a call of a burglary in progress at a home on 10th Avenue south of Hanford.

When they got to the home, they found the two men had removed a door to the home and were loading items into a pickup.

The home was vacant, but deputies say they were removing items like wood trim and antique bathroom fixtures.

A search warrant at one of the men's residence found more property taken from the vacant home.

Both men were arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail for burglary and possession of stolen property.

During the investigation, it was discovered the men, identified as Jesse Mazuka and Nicolas Cuevas, both worked for Kings County.

Cuevas worked part-time and is no longer with the County.

The sheriff's office says Mazuka's status can't be discussed because it's a personnel matter.

FOX26 News has learned Jesse Mazuka works as a Deputy Probation Officer.
