175 ANIMALS FLOWN OUT OF FRESNO FOR NEW BEGINNING

At least 175 animals were flown out of the valley and over to other states on the New Beginning's "Valentine's Day Flight."

Many of the animals were deformed or suffered from some type of disability.

Two planes were loaded up with cats and dogs and taken from Atwater animal control. Their final destinations were Oregon and Washington.

These animals are from different county shelters and if they were not transferred, would have been put to sleep.

The planes were flown by a volunteer group called the "Doctors of Mercy."
