$100,000 heroin bust in Fresno

One man is now in jail and Fresno police say $100,000 worth of black tar heroin won't make it to the streets.

The major narcotics unit says it seized more than two pounds of heroin from a parking lot near Maple and Shields Avenues Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say they had been tracking the man for bringing a lot of heroin to the area.

Police say it was important that they took him into custody quickly because he was near a school.
