Wendi learns about swift water rescue
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) —
The rivers are high and moving fast because of snow melting and rain.
Rescue crews are warning people to be careful when they are near or on the water.
Tulare fire firefighters spent the morning out on the water at the Slick Rock Recreation Area near Three Rivers to demonstrate how they rescue someone from the fast moving water.
It's called Swift Water Rescue and Wendi Lane spent the morning seeing how it's done... and getting rescued herself!
Thank you to the Tulare County Fire Department for letting us take part.
