Back to School Immunization Clinics

Tioga Middle School is holding Immunization Clinics for Fresno Unified School District

Some students have already gone back to school and others are getting ready.

That means for many it's time to get immunized.

Jim De La Vega spent the morning at Tioga Middle School located at 3232 E. Fairmont Ave. in the Fresno Unified School District, where school begins on Monday, August 14th.

The Fresno Unified School District is offering a series of immunization clinics to ensure parents and guardians have opportunities to have their children properly vaccinated prior to the start of school.

Kindergarten through seventh-grade students have immunization requirements before the start of school.

All students entering kindergarten are required to have been vaccinated against polio, diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus, mumps, measles and rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella.

All students entering seventh grade must show proof of current vaccination against pertussis (whooping cough).

Immunization Schedule:

  • Must bring current immunization record
  • Parent or legal guardian must accompany student
  • Must bring current insurance card
