Great Day Kitchen, 8/17/17 - Walnut Butter, Peach Jam, Breakfast Smoothie

Many people are familiar with Raw Fresno because it's been a gourmet raw/vegan food truck at farmers markets in the Fresno and Clovis area.

Raw Fresno is opening a restaurant!

A grand opening celebration is taking place 5-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7th at the Galleria at Civic Center Square, 2405 Capitol St. in downtown Fresno.

Breakfast Smoothie


Ingredients:

  • Frozen bananas
  • Frozen strawberries or blueberries or local seasonal fruit
  • Celery
  • Cucumber
  • Kale or spirulina powder
  • 3-5 cups of kefir water or juice of your choice

Incorporate all items above in high powered blender pour in To go cup and drink.


Chia Seed Fridge Jam


Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of clean water
  • 1 cup of Chia seeds
  • Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/8 of tsp Vanilla powder
  • Fresh fruit in season
  • 10 Dates pitted or you may use
  • 1/8 cup Real Maple syrup or raw local honey


Soak dates for 30 minutes in warm water to cover, blend into a paste including the water.

Incorporate all items above in food processor until consistency that you prefer.

Store in glass jars and refrigerate or freeze.


Walnut Butter

Ingredients:

  • Raw walnuts soaked in clean water overnight and dehydrated for 12-24 hours @118°
  • Optional add for flavor & sweetness
  • Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/8 of tsp Vanilla powder
  • 2-3 tsp Real Maple syrup or raw local honey


Use food processor to blend walnuts 3-4 minutes until oily and smooth

Scrape walls of processor once to allow all nuts to combine.

Add optional items at the end just to combine don't over process.
