When Liz told Elita FOX26 News and Grocery Outlet were going to buy her groceries, she said she would use the money she saved to feed the homeless.

FOX26 News and Grocery Outlet are partnering this holiday season to give free groceries away to people of the Central Valley, just in time for Christmas.

Watch what happened when FOX26 News reporter Liz Gonzalez surprised a woman shopping for groceries in Southeast Fresno.

Liz walked up behind Elita while she was checking out at the Grocery Outlet on E. Belmont Ave.

Elita's total grocery bill was only about $46, but when Liz told her FOX26 News and Grocery Outlet were going to buy her groceries, she said she would use the money she saved to feed the homeless.
