EYE-Q Vision Care: Veteran care
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) —
The doctors and staff at EYE-Q Vision Care not only care for their patients, they also care about the community.
The Central Valley has a very large veteran population and EYE-Q strives to do whatever they can to support those who served and those actively serving.
LifeStyle Matters host Marilyn Moore visited EYE-Q Vision Care Center to talk to Michael Walker, M.D.
Dr. Walker said the veterans in the community are our friends, neighbors and colleagues and several of the past and present doctors and employees at EYE-Q that have military backgrounds as well.
Dr. Walker talked about the American flag hanging in each EYE-Q office. The wall display is covered by plexiglass so people with military connections can sign or write the name of a past or present veteran.
Dr. Walker says EYE-Q Vision Care Centers is involved in many veterans’ events annually such as the Veterans Stand Down, Fresno Veterans Day Parade, Clovis American Legion, Central Valley Honor Flight and more. He also said the employees donated $18,000 of their own money to the Disabled American Veterans.
Take the time to thank a veteran for their service and sacrifice.
