Valley Drought 2014 - Food Prices Going Up

Prices for some of your favorite grocery items could soon go up. Winter weather to the East and severe drought here in the West has something to do with it.

Experts say milk prices could rise as much as 50 cents a gallon in the next few months - because of the rising demand in China and the cold weather across the US that's making it more expensive for farmers to keep dairy cattle.

Beef is also about to get more expensive. The US Agriculture Department says fresh cuts of beef could reach an all-time high of more than $5 a pound.

Dry conditions in California could also affect fruit and vegetable prices.
