Valley CHP Officer Laid To Rest
VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) —
Officer Jesus "Jesse" Magdaleno was laid to rest in Visalia on Tuesday. He was killed last week during a carjacking in Las Vegas.Magdaleno was honored with a service at the First Assembly of God, at Akers and Caldwell in Visalia.
Following the service, the procession passed under a large American flag held by two fire trucks from Tulare County Fire and the Visalia Fire Department, en route to the burial.People lined the streets to show their respects, including several U.S. Marines holding the American flag and the Marine Corps flag.Magdaleno was killed while trying to save his brother-in-law, Felix Brandon Cruz, who was also killed in the carjacking. Cruz will be laid to rest later this week.
