USA Today Says Bakersfield Drying Up Fastest

A new report out of USA Today shows Bakersfield is drying up faster than any other city in the state.

There has been no measurable rainfall since May 6th and citrus farmers say their wells are dry or close to it.

Growers in Bakersfield must pay more to water their trees, so the cost of food keeps going up.

The U.S. Drought Monitor already shows that more than 80% of the state is now in an extreme, or exceptional drought.
