Thousands Fill Central Valley Stores For Thanksgiving Shopping

How did you spend Thanksgiving? Did you go shopping? Thousands of people filled stores all over the Central Valley.

The stores that opened on Thanksgiving let shoppers inside in groups of 30 and handed out tickets for popular items. People say that they're okay with shopping on Thanksgiving, because for many Black Friday shopping is a family tradition.

"At first I was kind of apprehensive about it," says Leroy Schletht, "However, actually getting in this quick and getting out this quick is really, really nice. I love it."

Many of the people KMPH Fox 26 spoke with say they're going to stop at several stores and will still be shopping on Black Friday.

"We stay up all night. We don't go to bed until about 8 o'clock in the morning," says Paula Harris.
