Thomas W. Thomas, M.D.

Dr. Thomas practices general orthopedic surgery. He has extensive experience and expertise in joint replacement and adult reconstructive surgery, sports medicine and athletic injuries, fracture care, and surgery of the hand. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Thomas is proud to be a member of the Sierra Pacific Orthopaedic Medical Group, which he joined in March of 2001. Prior to that he was with Kaiser Permanente for eight years where he was a staff orthopedic surgeon and chief of the orthopedic surgery department. Dr. Thomas is a consulting orthopedic surgeon for several university, college, and high school athletic teams. Before coming to Fresno, he was in private practice in Washington State.

Dr. Thomas graduated from medical school at the University of Utah in 1986. He did training in general surgery at the University of California at San Diego and then completed residency training at the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Training Program in 1991.

Dr. Thomas is originally from Ogden, Utah. He married Ellen Mathias of Porterville. They have six wonderful children. They love Fresno! Dr. Thomas' interests are: family, church, outdoor activities and sports of all kinds.
