Thirty-five Felony Counts Filed In Deadly Bank Robbery And Shootout
STOCKTON, Calif. (KMPH) —
The only suspect who survived the deadly bank robbery in Stockton is now officially facing murder charges.
19-year-old Jaime Ramos was slapped with 35 felony counts, including murder, kidnapping and carjacking for the robbery and a shootout with police.
Two of his cohorts, Gilbert Renteria, Jr. and Alex Martinez, died in the gunfire.
A hostage, Misty Holt-Singh, also died after she was used as a human shield.
Two other hostages were hurt after they were either thrown or jumped from the getaway SUV as it was moving.
If convicted, Ramos could be looking at the death penalty.
He is being held without bail.
