Drive-By Shooting Investigation in Orange Cove

UPDATE: A Dinuba man has been arrested for his involvement in a drive-by shooting that occurred on May 11th in Orange Cove.

Javier Alcantar, 21, was arrested in Reedley last Thursday by U.S. Marshals.

A second man involved in the shooting, 47-year-old Fabian Ramirez, was arrested back in June.

Both men are in jail on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Doctors are working to save the life of a man, who was hit in a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon in Orange Cove. It happened just before 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of Railroad Avenue. The Orange Cove Police Department found the man in the rear of a white SUV, suffering from a gunshot wound.{} Fresno County Deputies helped with the case, and say the victim was initially conscious but then deteriorated.
