Returning Marines Surprised By Cheers And 1st Class Seat Upgrades

A group of U.S. Marines returning to San Diego from Afghanistan was surprised by cheers as they walked through the airport and then given 1st class seats.

The 13 marines had already been traveling for five days on their way back from Afghanistan, when they got to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.As they were walking though the terminal, they were cheered by a small crowd of police, got a fire truck water salute and some were giving first-class plane tickets.They were leaving for the final leg of their journey to San Diego and American Airlines upgraded 6 of the 13 to first class.Seven first-class passengers then jumped out of their seats for seven remaining Marines so they could sit together.
