Remote Controlled Birth Control

Technology is helping with family planning. It comes in the form of a microchip that can be implanted under a woman's skin that delivers a daily dose of hormonal contraceptives.

It last for 16 years.

During that time if the woman wants to get pregnant she can turn the microchip off using a remote control. Yep, just like a TV.{} Afterwards she can turn it back on.

The chip was developed as part of the Bill and Miranda Gates Foundation. It is expected to be on the market by 2018.
