Puppies Abandoned In Fresno Field

Five puppies have been turned over to the SPCA after they were abandoned in a Southwest Fresno field Friday morning.

Fresno Police say shortly after 9 a.m., a sergeant saw 25-year-old Fabien Ochoa drive up to the vacant field in a van, take out the five puppies, and then drive away.

The sergeant pulled over Ochoa to question him. He reportedly said that he didn't have a place to take the puppies.

Ochoa was cited for five counts of animal abandonment and driving without a license. His van was impounded.

Officers picked up the puppies and took them to the SPCA.
