Police Searching For Three In NW Fresno Shooting
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
Fresno Police arrested one person and are searching for three more in connection to a triple shooting in northwest Fresno earlier this month.
Austin Castro, 19, was arrested late Saturday night while walking under the influence of alcohol in the Pinedale area. He was wanted in connection to a gang-related gunfight at a house party in the 300 block of West Fir, said Fresno Police Department Lt. Mark Sakazar.
Three women were shot in the exchange of gunfire. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries
Police discovered various caliber casings on the scene of the shooting and later determined that the shooting was gang related and involved two rival gangs.
Castro was booked into the Fresno County Jail in connection to the shooting. But police are still searching for Pavid Bounthavy, 22, Jonathan Clark, 22, and a 16-year-old male who goes by the name "Elmo."
Police say that the three should be considered armed and dangerous. None of the weapons used in the shooting have been recovered.
Anyone who has information on their whereabouts can remain anonymous by calling 498-STOP where a $1,000 reward is being offered that leads to an arrest.
