Parolee Arrested After Chase In Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
A parolee was arrested after Fresno County sheriff's deputies say he led them on a chase in a stolen pickup truck early Sunday morning.
It all started when deputies tried to pull over a stolen Chevy pickup truck -- being driven by 21-year-old Francisco Felix -- in the area of Palm and Shields in Central Fresno at about 1 a.m., sheriff's spokesman Chris Curtice said.
The truck did not stop and a chase ensued.
After about 20 minutes, deputies set up spike strips at the intersection of Donner and Clovis avenues to stop the truck, Curtice said.
Deputies ordered Felix to get out of the truck, but he stayed inside, so they used bean bag rounds to break the rear tinted window, Curtice said.
Felix was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple charges, including vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and felony evading.
