Missing Autistic Woman Found Safe, Police Say

UPATED: Jill Belk, a 48-year-old autistic woman who was reported missing from her home on Sunday morning, has been found safe, police said.

Belk was found at an abandoned home in the 3100 block of North Menlo, across the street from her home.

Police say they found Belk's pajamas in the back yard of the house.

Medical personnel checked Belk. According to Police, the woman is doing well.

Belk is autistic, has severe mental retardation and cannot speak.

Belk is described as having brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and was last seen wearing a red and white pajama top and red pajama pants. She was not wearing shoes.

Police said Belk may have been headed to the shopping center at Willow and Herndon avenues.
