Lottery Tickets Stolen In Madera Co. Smash-And-Grab
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) —
A thief broke into a gas station convenience store in Madera County early Wednesday morning and took off with 12 stacks of lottery tickets.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m., the Madera County Sheriff's Office got word of the break-in at the Valero station -- also known as the 22-Mile House -- at Highway 41 and Road 208.
When deputies got to the business, the thief had already left.
Investigators say they looked at surveillance video which shows a man breaking through a window, racing to the counter, grabbing the lottery tickets and then running out.
According to reports, the crook has been cashing the tickets at Fresno convenience stores.
