Large Meth Bust In Fresno Following Traffic Stop

Fresno County sheriff's deputies busted a man with about 25 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in his car.

The discovery was made Thursday morning after they pulled the car over at North and Cedar for a traffic violation.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found a hidden compartment behind the back seat.

Inside the compartment, deputies found ten packages of meth with a street value of $250,000 to $500,000.

The driver, 22-year-old Mario Pineda Farias, Jr. of Calistoga was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for possession of methamphetamine for sales, transportation of methamphetamine, and other narcotics related charges.
