Hot Dog! Visalia Restaurant Turns 60

Taylor's Hot Dog Stand in Visalia has been a place to get a quick bite to eat since Eisenhower was president.

The Visalia landmark turned 60 on Saturday.

To celebrate its birthday, the Taylor family sold hot dogs for sixty cents. That's a savings of 90 cents per dog.

Taylor's is the oldest fast food restaurant in Visalia.

"My mom, dad and uncle Kelly would be proud. They were our founders, and this was what it was all about," said owner Jim Taylor.

The lines were long and people were buying them by the dozen.

Taylor's predicted they would sell 6,000 hot dogs on Saturday.
