Help On the Way For The Long-Term Unemployed

President Obama says there's now help for the long-term unemployed.

The President says he has commitments from some of the nation's top companies.

He says they will hire some of the people who have the hardest times finding jobs.

Employers sometimes weed these applicants out even before they have a chance for an interview.

If you do get an interview, often times it is hard to explain that gap in your resume.

The President wants to get rid of that stigma.

He says companies like WalMart, Apple and Ford are willing to help.

The move is in line with his promise to bypass Congress on certain initiatives.

He talked about doing that in his State of the Union speech Tuesday night.
