Fresno State Still Unbeaten, Carr Now School's All-Time Passing Leader
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
Fans in all black at Bulldog Stadium nearly another nail biter, but Fresno State scored the final 10 points to turn a 31-23 game into a 41-23 win. In moving to 8-0 on the season, the 16th ranked 'Dogs also saw two more records broken - Derek Carr passed Kevin Sweeney to become the school's all-time leading passer with 10, 821 yards, and Josh Harper caught 17 passes for a school single game mark.
The Heisman candidate Carr threw for 487 yards and three touchdowns, and also ran in a five yard score. 17 of his 39 completions went to the junior Harper, who also set a personal mark with 253 yards receiving.
The Bulldogs will travel to Wyoming as they attempt to go 9-0, Saturday, November 9.
