Fresno State Hoops Survive Collapse in Regulation, Win in OT
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
In their second game of the Fresno State Classic, Rodney Terry's Bulldogs led Bakersfield by as much as 17 in the second half, and by nine with 28 seconds to play. But Fresno State allowed a Roadrunner tip-in off a missed free throw, received a technical foul for calling a timeout with none remaining, and then surrendered a Bakersfield three-pointer with six seconds to play that tied the game. The 'Dogs did respond by closing overtime on a 15-2 run to win 96-86.
Allen Huddleston led Fresno State with 23 points, and Cezar Guerrero added 22 while going 13-14 from the line.
The Bulldogs will finish tournament play Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Northern Arizona.
