Fresno Mayor Gets Ticket For Using Cell Phone While Driving
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin was ticketed for using her cell phone while driving, the city said.
It happened Tuesday at the intersection of Blackstone and Herndon in Northeast Fresno.
Mayor Swearengin was stopped at a red light reading an email on her cell phone, when a police officer noticed it and gave her a ticket, city spokesman Michael Lukens said.
"She was cooperative, accepted the ticket and moved on," Lukens said.
