Fresno Deputies Investigating Kidnapping And Shooting
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
Fresno county sheriff's deputies are investigating a possible kidnapping and deadly shooting this morning.
Investigators say it all started in South Fresno near Orange and American.
One person is dead and two have been detained for questioning.
A 15-year-old girl was kidnapped, but is now with her family.
Deputies were headed there for a call, and as they were pulling up, they heard gunshots.
That's when they saw two cars drive away from the home.
Deputies chased both cars and one ended up at Community Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
Deputies pulled two people out of the car at the hospital and detained them for questioning.
A passenger in that car was suffering from a gunshot wound and later died at the hospital.Deputy Chris Curtice also said there was another shooting victim located at the Orange address and that person is not expected to survive.
Deputy Curtice said the other vehicle was able to get away because officers stopped chasing because of dangerous speeds.The investigation is ongoing.Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Fresno County Sheriff's Department.
