Fire Torches Fresno County Home. Stops Traffic

Fire consumed a{}Fresno County home Tuesday about sixteen miles east of Fresno.

When firefighters got to the house in Centerville at Kings Canyon and Rainbow Avenue, they say they ran into towering flames burning through the roof and an alarm that wouldn't quit.

Fire teams broke out their hoses and attacked the flames but could not save the home or prevent the roof from collapsing.

Fortunately no one was home at the time.

The fire forced the closure of Rainbow avenue for 8 hours.
