DeRuyter Sounds Off On Disappointing Defeat

The Fresno State offense sputtered. The kicking game missed three kicks, totaling five points. And the Bulldogs lost at Tulsa, 27-26. Coach DeRuyter still looking for road win, number one.

After jumping out to a nice lead in the first quarter, the offense was stymied, going the final fifty minutes and 28 seconds without scoring. The reigning conference special teams player of the week, Quentin Brashears, follows up his great game against Colorado with a horrible one, missing three kicks. The defense did all they could, including scoring two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough.

Up next for the Bulldogs is Homecoming as San Diego State comes to Fresno for the Dogs first Mountain West Conference match up. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Aztecs are (2-2) after losing to San Jose state, 38-34, Saturday. They beat the Dogs, 35-28, in last year's season finale.
