Clovis Boy Reported Missing Found, Father Arrested

A Clovis boy who had been reported missing was found safe on Monday and his father is now under arrest, the Clovis Police Department said.

Detectives say they found the 12-year-old boy shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday. His father, Henry Saldivar, was arrested about two hours later in Fresno near Belmont and Villa, police said.

Police say Saldivar attacked his wife with knives on Friday and then picked up his 12-year-old son from school.

Since Saldivar is the boy's father, he was allowed to do so. But police say the alleged brutal attack on his wife made them fear for the boy's safety.

Saldivar now faces several charges including felony domestic abuse.
