CHP: Drinking, Driving, Fog Factors In Deadly Crash
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
Investigators say a combination of drinking and driving and fog may have led to a deadly accident on Highway 99.
A 35-year-old Madera man was going south on the freeway Saturday morning when he crashed his pickup near Shaw Avenue in Fresno.
He got out of his truck and was run over by a big rig.
He died at the scene.
CHP says it appears the pickup driver had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash, and the driver of the big rig might not have seen the man in the roadway because it was foggy.
