Busted: Woman Accused of 224 Counts of ID Theft and Burglary
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
A Fresno woman is going to need some wealthy friends to get out of jail.
Her bail is set at $5 million!
Investigators say Leisha Nelson stole the identities of more than 60 people, and was arrested for 224 counts of theft and burglary.
She's accused of stealing checks and credit cards from an elderly client, and conning people between Visalia and Sacramento.
At her home, detectives say they found a computer, a program that makes fake checks, and fake identification cards.
