Breast Cancer May Be Linked To High Cholesterol

Fighting breast cancer may be as easy as tackling a woman's cholesterol level.

New research shows high cholesterol levels may raise a woman's risk of developing breast cancer by nearly 65%.

Study authors say their findings are preliminary and further research is needed before any plan of action can be determined.

However, they believe if their findings are confirmed, there is a possibility in the next 10 to 15 years that a clinical trial may test the cholesterol drug statins to see if that can prevent breast cancer.
