Bandits Invade Home, Tie Up Residents And Get Away In Stolen Pickup

Detectives are searching for crooks who broke into a Sanger-area home early Tuesday morning and tied up three people inside.

The incident happened shortly before 2 a.m. in the 11500 block of E. American Avenue, the Fresno County Sheriff's office said.

Detectives said that three people wearing ski masks and armed with handguns entered the home and demanded cash and marijuana believed to be growing inside of the home.

Three adults, and teenager were tied up inside of the home once the robbers learned that there was no marijuana inside of the home, a Fresno County Sheriff's Office spokesman said.

A 17-month-old infant was also inside of the home at the time.

The adults and the teenager managed to free themselves and drive to the Sanger Police Department by the time deputies made it to the home, the sheriff's office said.

The robbers stole a blue, 2003 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck with the California license plate 7P13279 from the home.

The truck has a red stripe along the bottom and a gray interior. The truck also has a Raiders license plate frame.
